fatigue

In muscle, reduced response brought about by the accumulation of lactic acid in muscle tissue due to excessive cellular activity.

fatigue

In medicine, general weariness, possibly due to lack of sleep, too little exercise, and poor nutrition. It is also a symptom of certain diseases, such as anaemia, hypothyroidism, or myasthenia gravis. See also chronic fatigue syndrome.
