fibreboard

Board made from timber fibres. The resin of the timber is sometimes used to bind the fibres together under pressure. Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) has many applications, as it is easily shaped and can have plastic veneer glued to its surface. Another common type of fibreboard is hardboard.
