finIn aquatic animals, flattened extension from the body that aids balance and propulsion through the water. In fish they may be paired, such as the pectoral and ventral fins, or singular, such as the caudal and dorsal fins, all being supported by a series of cartilaginous or bony rays. The fins in cetaceans (whales and dolphins) are simple extensions of the soft tissue and have no bony rays. The flippers of seals are modified five-fingered limbs and contain the same bones as the limbs of other vertebrates. |

For ``Saturday Night Wrist,'' the Sacramento-based fivesome fronted by Chino Moreno worked with Bob Ezrin (who produced Pink Floyd's ``The Wall'') with help from Shaun Lopez (formerly the guitarist for Far). Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has long appreciated that once the gays embrace you, they don't let go--no matter how many years the fivesome took off between albums (nearly five) or how many tabloid headlines they've generated (a lot). No surprise then, that Simmons ends Life and Def with a beatitude-like fivesome that encompasses his lessons for living. |
