flour beetle

Beetle that is a major pest of stored agricultural products, such as flour. They are found worldwide in granaries and stores where both the adult beetles and the larvae feed on damaged grain or flour. Neither adults nor larvae can eat intact grains.

Classification

Flour beetles are in the genus Tribolium, family Tenebrionidae, class Insecta, phylum Arthropoda.
