forensic computing

Recovering information from computer systems for use in criminal investigations. The use of computers by criminals to commit crimes or to support their criminal activities is increasing. The more organized computer criminals will take sophisticated steps to try to hide the information on their computers, and it is the work of forensic computer scientists, working with the police, to recover evidence.
