full score

All the lines of music for each instrument playing in a composition. The music is arranged on the page according to the four sections of the orchestra. From top to bottom this is: woodwind, brass, percussion, and strings. Within each section, the instruments are arranged with the highest-sounding instrument at the top to the lowest-sounding at the bottom. A full score is usually printed on large paper for easy reading, such as for a conductor's score.
