fumitory

Any of a group of plants native to Europe and Asia. The common fumitory (F. officinalis) grows to 50 cm/20 in and produces pink flowers tipped with blackish red; it has been used in medicine for stomach and liver complaints. (Genus Fumeria, family Fumariaceae.)
