geophysics

Branch of earth science using physics (for instance gravity, seismicity, and magnetism) to study the Earth's surface, interior, and atmosphere. Geophysics includes several sub-fields such as seismology, paleomagnetism, and remote sensing.

The Institute of Physics Publishing (Philadelphia, PA) has begun the publication of Fuel Cell Review with a June/July issue and four new journals with issues earlier this year, including Journal of Geophysics and Engineering, Journal of Neural Engineering, Journal of Statistical Mechanics and Physical Biology.
In my opinion, the revised edition would therefore serve as an excellent textbook for a fourth year undergraduate (or graduate) course in Geodynamics for students registered in Geophysics or Geological Engineering.
