gerenuk

Antelope about 1 m/3 ft high at the shoulder, with a very long neck. It browses on leaves, often balancing on its hind legs to do so. Sandy brown in colour, it is well camouflaged in its East African habitat of dry scrub. (Species Litocranius walleri.)
