This year, exotic flowers such as orchids, gingers and anthurium are popular, as well as the romantic staple, red roses. I'm contemplating all this while watching the latter day Freds and Gingers of experimental dance parade their entire naked selves before me on a regular basis. Orchidantha belongs to the same taxonomic order as gingers, bananas, and bird-of-paradise plants. |
