A native plant of Asia and Eastern Europe, it is now common throughout much of Europe. ![]() Fennel is a native of the Mediterranean shores. It is one of the largest herbs, growing to a height of 1.5 m/5 ft. ![]() Rosemary is a bushy perennial shrub, often growing to a height of over 180 cm/6 ft. It has evergreen needles, dark green on top and silver underneath. It produces light-blue or purple flowers in early summer. Any plant (usually a flowering plant) tasting sweet, bitter, aromatic, or pungent, used in cooking, medicine, or perfumery; technically, a herb is any plant in which the aerial parts do not remain above ground at the end of the growing season.
