Hermitage

City in Mercer County, northwestern Pennsylvania, situated 3 km/2 mi east of Sharon and 6 km/4 mi east of the Ohio border; population (1990) 15,300. Its Hillcrest Memorial Park houses the Avenue of 444 Flags, a commemoration of the US embassy hostages held in Tehran, Iran in 1979–81, and the American Freedom Museum.
