hirsutism

Excessive growth of hair in women in areas of the body where hair is normally absent or minimal. The condition corresponds to a male pattern of body hair and may be caused by hormonal imbalance, disease of the ovaries, or some drugs. Unwanted hair on the face, legs, or other areas can be treated by electrolysis (the removal of hair by an electric current).
