| At the 2006 Society for Historical Archaeology meeting in Sacramento, Califi, in January, Neiman's colleagues presented their analysis of a 1-by-2-meter chunk of soil roughly 2 meters deep that they had removed from the area behind the greenstone wall. France and French Canada, Northwest North America, New Mexico, the Cape of Good Hope, Australia and New Zealand are all represented, expanding beyond the tendency of historical archaeology to focus on the Atlantic sphere.
