| Over the last 25 years they have created hypnotically slow works that transport you to a time and place that is somehow preverbal, where there is not much difference between animals, plants, and humans. The petals of the flower seem to tuck into one another hypnotically, their prominent swirling fringes intersecting and curving back. What's fascinating--besides all the overt marketing through things like lavender spray for the sheets, earplugs and an eye mask in a satchel, and a "relaxation" CD upon which a voice intones hypnotically over soothing soundscapes--is that the Crowne Plaza does nothing like the other hotels. |
