A hypostatization (embodiment) of the concepts, in the narrative, we devise to explain reality, making them as real, in the narrative, as objects from the physical world. Simply put, the Minimalist hypostatization of objecthood, which called for and indeed presumed the surpassing of painting largely on the grounds of its manifest relationality, seems to have led in Marioni's art to a new, more deeply founded integration of color, amateriality, and support, which is to say to an affirmation of the continued vitality of painting that has something of the character of a new beginning. |
