interactive

Describing a computer system that will respond directly to data or commands entered by the user. For example, most popular programs, such as word processors and spreadsheet applications, are interactive. Multimedia programs are usually highly interactive, allowing users to decide what type of information to display (text, graphics, video, or audio) and enabling them (by means of hypertext) to choose an individual route through the information.
