kiosk

In computing, any computer that has been set up to act as an information centre in a public place. Users navigate the display using keyboards or touch screens, but are never allowed to access the computer's operating system. A kiosk in a museum might show an interactive multimedia display, or one in a library might give readers access to catalogues.
