One of the factors of production, used to produce goods and provide services. Wages are the reward for labour. Labour demand and supply in a modern economy is determined by the size of the population, people's willingness to work, education and training levels, labour laws and regulations, and the overall health of the economy.

Sequence of events in childbirth, from the first contraction of the womb through to delivery. There are three stages of labour, normally spread over some hours.
