Lacey

City in west-central Washington, 5 km/3 mi east of Olympia; population (1990) 19,300. Livestock is still raised here and there is some dairy farming, despite recent suburban residential growth.

St Martin's College (1895) is here. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is to the northeast.
