In business, working to a level capacity. An alternative to chase demand strategy, level output strategy adopts the approach of ignoring demand variations and setting production levels at the level of average demand, with steady output. This means that surplus stock produced in slack times can be used to meet consumer demand in busy times. This is not a suitable strategy for perishable stock.
