Laws governing the sale of alcoholic drinks. In the USA, individual states license bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and clubs. Some states operate government stores selling alcohol. Some have laws banning the sale of alcohol on Sundays, and a few counties within states have their own laws prohibiting alcohol sales at any time.
