The assembly of galaxies form filaments "millions of light years long and constitute the skeleton of the universe," it said. 2bn light years away has been named as the farthest from Earth ever found. We do find stars with comparable speeds in mature galaxies in today's nearby universe, but those galaxies are typically many tens of thousands of light years across. |
