The oil is low in natural fats and contains a mixture of fatty acids (omega-6 and omega-3) and gamma linolenic acid. The plan is to use low-lin oil processed from Monsanto Company’s Vistive soybeans, which have less than 3% linolenic acid compared with 8% in traditional soybeans. The dietary supplement VIACTAN Plus, which targets both dogs and cats, contains both essential fatty acids like gamma linolenic acid and antioxidants, including vitamin E. |
