The blood vessels in and around tumors tend to have larger-than-normal pores, so the liposomes pass into and accumulate in cancerous tissues more readily than they do in healthy ones. At Cornell University's Food Research Laboratory in Geneva, New York, chemistry professor Richard Durst has been working on using liposomes to deliver markers that reveal the presence of E.
