We see this as a modern interpretation of Treaty 8 in which the FNFN people continue to make a living off the land in the spirit of sharing.
For the people looking to make a living off the land, there is plenty of nature and it can be accessed by walking out your front door.
All those cliches involving digging in, living off the land and filling up on super-cheap and nutritious fruit and veg, took root in my imagination.
