malamute

Breed of dog that takes its name from an Inuit people of Alaska. Stockily built and very hardy, it was prized as a sled dog. The malamute stands up to 63 cm/25 in tall, has a thick, bristly coat of grey or black with white markings, and carries its tail curved over its back.

It is similar in size, markings, and abilities to the Siberian husky.
