manakin

Any of a group of birds found in South and Central America, about 15 cm/6 in long and often brightly coloured. They feed on berries and other small fruits. The males of the genus Manacus clear a patch of the forest floor with a small tree as a display perch. (Family Pipridae, order Passeriformes.)

Manakin has already supported a number of high-profile bands including Incubus, Ludacris, The Killers, Under the Influence of Giants and Tommy Lee.
Sheikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa, lead singer of London-based rock band, Manakin and a Bahraini prince, had always been an outgoing child, but it was when he chose to go down the rock and roll road, he risked upsetting his royal clan.
The second manakin can spend up to 10 years with no apparent reward but his increasing skill in singing along.
