Manville

Borough in Somerset County, central New Jersey; , population (1990) 10,600. Manville lies 13 km/8 mi northwest of New Brunswick, on the Raritan River. Its manufactures include plastics, cement blocks, and clothing, and it was formerly a major producer of asbestos insulation (from the Johns-Manville factory).
