misfit valley

    0.01 sec.

misfit valley

Large valley with a small stream. In most cases the valley was formed when a much larger river flowed through it. The valleys of the Cotswolds, England, were mostly formed by large rivers of meltwater at the end of the last glacial period. They now contain small streams such as the Evenlode and the Windrush, which do not have the volume of water or power to erode them.
