natterjack| Toad Bufo calamita found in Europe and Britain. It is smaller than the common toad, with shortened hind limbs and short, almost webless, toes; it is yellowish-brown, with a yellow line down its back. It moves by walking or by short runs instead of hopping. The male has a vocal throat sac which, when distended, is larger than the head. |
