nirodha

In Buddhism, the cessation or removal of suffering, the third of the Buddha's Four Noble Truths. Through recognizing our desires, for example greed and lust, we can aim to control our attachment to them. Following the Buddha's Eightfold Path extinguishes the suffering caused by our craving and delivers release – nirvana.
