Any number not divisible by 2, thus odd numbers form the infinite sequence 1, 3, 5, 7 ... . Every square number n2 is the sum of the first n odd numbers. For example, 49 = 72 = 1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 + 11 + 13.
