DTP systems are capable of producing camera-ready pages (pages ready for photographing and printing), made up of text and graphics, with text set in different typefaces and sizes. The page can be previewed on the screen before final printing on a laser printer. A DTP program is able to import text and graphics from other packages; run text as columns, over pages, and around artwork and other insertions; enable a wide range of fonts; and allow accurate positioning of all elements required to make a page.
