Peć

Town in Serbia, in the autonomous region of Kosovo; population (2001 est) 77,800. It is on the River Bistrica, at the foot of Mount Koprivnik. Peć is a busy commercial town. In the Middle Ages it was the seat of the Serbian patriarchs; the great monastery complex in which they resided remains.
