paediatrics

Medical speciality concerned with the care of children. Paediatricians treat childhood diseases such as measles, chicken pox, and mumps, and immunize children against more serious infections such as diphtheria. Their role also includes treating and identifying disorders caused by lack of proper nutrition or child abuse.
