pinna

In botany, the primary division of a pinnate leaf. In mammals, the pinna is the external part of the ear.

Pinna

Genus of bivalve molluscs; the species are popularly termed wingshells. Some species attain a length of about 60 cm/24 in and the long, delicate byssus (mass of threads by which they attach to rocks) is sometimes woven into cloth or made into gloves and bracelets.
