Pinole

Town in Contra Costa County, northern-central California, USA, on the southeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, 23 km/14 mi north of Oakland; population (1990) 17,500. Once a farming and livestock centre, it is now a growing suburb, with high-tech and other light industries.
