plane money

    0.03 sec.

plane money

Jargon used to describe the amount of money needed to attract the very best talent to a company. At the height of the dotcom boom, when there was intense competition for talented employees, companies were forced to pay plane money to attract key personnel, that is to say, enough money for them to buy their own plane. Of course this term applies even if the new executives do not actually use the money to buy a plane.
