Production of plants. Botanists and horticulturalists can use a wide variety of means for propagating plants. There are the natural techniques of vegetative reproduction, together with cuttings, grafting, and micropropagation. The range is wide because most plant tissue, unlike animal tissue, can give rise to the complete range of tissue types within a particular species.
