poison sumac

Shrub or small tree Rhus vernix of the cashew family that thrives in a swampy habitat. Its large leaves are composed of 7–13 pointed leaflets, and it bears clusters of white globular fruit. All its parts contain a dangerous skin irritant more virulent than that of poison ivy or poison oak.
