Marine bony fish. It is about 30 cm/12 in long and less than 2 kg/4.4 lb in weight. It occurs in the North Sea and the Arctic Ocean. The bib is of little commercial importance, but the young fish are often found close inshore in large shoals where they may be caught by anglers.

Classification

The bib Trisopterus luscus belongs to the order Gadiformes (which also contains the cod, whiting, and haddock), class Osteichthyes.
