pressure law

    0.01 sec.

pressure law

Law stating that the pressure of a fixed mass of gas at constant volume is directly proportional to its absolute temperature. The law may be expressed as: pressure/temperature = constant or, more usefully, as: P1/T1 = P2/T2 where P1 and T1 are the initial pressure and absolute temperature of a gas, and P2 and T2 are its final pressure and temperature. See also gas laws.
