principled negotiation

    0.10 sec.

principled negotiation

Integrative negotiating strategy developed by US academics and consultants Roger Fisher and William Ury in their book Getting to Yes (1981). The idea is to separate the negotiators from the problem and, by negotiating on a basis of interests rather than positions, identify options for mutual gain, thereby arriving at an objectively fair settlement.
