psychometric test

Personality test used by companies to select employees that gained popularity in the late 20th century. Psychometric tests are normally multiple choice and have to be completed within a time limit. They are designed to reveal different aspects of an individual's personality, such as the ability to work in teams, leadership qualities, and a lack of self-confidence. Opinion is divided on their usefulness.
