psychopathy

Personality disorder characterized by chronic antisocial behaviour (violating the rights of others, often violently) and an absence of feelings of guilt about the behaviour.

Because the term ‘psychopathy’ has been misused to refer to any severe mental disorder, many psychologists now prefer the term ‘antisocial personality disorder’, though this also includes cases in which absence or a lesser degree of guilt is not a characteristic feature.
