radial artery

Artery that passes down the forearm and supplies blood to the hand and the fingers. The brachial artery, a large artery supplying blood to the arm, divides at the elbow to form the radial and ulnar arteries. The pulsation of blood through the radial artery can be felt at the wrist. This is generally known as the pulse.

Arterial measurements were taken in the radial artery (in the wrist), the carotid artery (in the neck), and in the femoral artery (in the groin), at rest and after exercise.
In male Judo athletes the brachial, radial, and anterior tibial artery presented the highest increase on the diastolic diameter, compared with the control male group, 27% for brachial and radial artery, and 23% for anterior tibial artery respectively.
