raw data

Unprocessed facts and figures collected from surveys, experiments, and other sources, to which a meaning or interpretation has been applied. The data are usually presented in the form of frequency diagrams, tables, and graphs so that they are easier to understand and analyse. For example, meteorological data such as daily temperature or rainfall can be collected over long periods of time and then displayed as line graphs so that comparisons can easily be made.
