recursive

In mathematics, a very general description of a function with natural numbers, as arguments, corresponding to the intuitive notion of computability. The basic recursive functions are x + y, xy, f(x, y, z, ...) = x, g(x, y, z, ...) = y, and a restricted form of the taking of a minimum.
