The concept involves extending booms and sheeting from spacecraft to increase the amount of drag they experience from the residual air molecules still present at altitudes up to even 750km (470 miles).
For example, they smell whiskey not directly through the nose but by aggressively inhaling though the mouth, which sends a residual air flow to the nose without a harsh alcohol sensation, Green explains.
The heated air mixes with the residual air that is not passed through the servers and returns to the AHUs (no special ducting is used).
